Design issue 1.2.1 - Moved threads marked as read

I created a new forum today and moved some threads into it from a different forum.

On arrival all the threads (including unread ones) were marked as read.

I'm sure this is discussed elsewhere but not in exactly this context.

It's because the forum is marked as read as of a particular date. When you move content into that forum that's older than that date, it's considered read.

So short answer is that nothing can be done about it.
