Do I pay for Prism every month?
No. You pay once for the add-on, twelve months of updates and support included, and renewing them is optional. The subscriptions are between your members and you: they pay you, through your own payment method, at the prices you set.
Which payment methods does it work with?
The plans are native XenForo account upgrades, so they use the payment profiles you create in your Admin CP, such as Stripe or PayPal. Purchases, replays, refunds, expiries, gifts, codes and trial passes are tested end to end against a simulated payment provider, not yet through a live PayPal or Stripe account, so put one small real purchase through yourself before you announce.
How long does it take to open?
A Getting started page in the Admin CP reads the real state of your forum and shows what is left: names, prices, a payment profile, and the switch that opens the shop. If you already take payments on your forum, it can be open the same day.
What do members who do not pay get?
Free items stay free for everyone, and seasonal items are free during their season. You choose which plan each item needs, and nobody loses access to a discussion.
What happens when a member's plan ends?
Their choices stay saved. Plan items stop showing, the profile goes back to free items, and everything comes back as it was if they subscribe again. A Founder badge stays after an expiry, and a refund removes it.
Can I sell only part of it?
Yes. 18 feature families switch on and off one by one. A family you turn off disappears from the page, the account pages and the comparison table, and members' choices are kept.
Does it work with my style?
It is built from XenForo's own components and follows your style in light and dark. It has been checked on the stock XenForo style. Items themselves, a banner or a plate for example, keep their own artwork.
Will it run next to another add-on that styles profiles?
That has not been tested. Any family that overlaps can be turned off.
Can I add my own artwork?
Yes. Banners, backdrops, decorations and plates can be uploaded from the Admin CP, named, and given the plan they need. Members on the right plan can also upload their own banner, backdrop and animated avatar, with an optional approval queue.
Who handles the legal side?
You do. Prism shows a consent box before payment and refuses the purchase on the server when it is not ticked, with a link to your terms of sale, but your terms, taxes and obligations remain yours.
What does uninstalling do?
It downgrades active subscribers, then removes the two plans, their groups, the data and the files Prism created. Back up first if you may return.
What is not in 1.0?
There is no media widget on the profile board.
