Uses​

DragonByte Manuals Library is the perfect solution for keeping your members on your site rather than directing them to off-site resources that may disappear at any point in the future. Uploaded PDFs are fully viewable without requiring the user to download them and installing a PDF reader, and an optional third party text extractor can be used to extract the text from your uploaded files and index them in search engines.

PDF viewing is loaded on demand via the pdfjs-dist library on JSDelivr, a popular CDN for JavaScript libraries. This allows you to control the pagination, zoom level, and even search within the PDF just like a normal PDF reader.

By optionally installing pdftotext on your server, this addon can also extract text and add it to the search index, allowing not only on-site search to match on keywords within the manual, but its presence within the HTML page allows it to be picked up by search engines as well.

On-Site Viewer: By reading the PDF directly on your site, users have less of an incentive to leave the site, increasing user retention. The viewer also has smooth scrolling, pagination and an inline search, ensuring your users can find what they need quickly and easily.

Powerful Organisation: Organise your manuals via standard XenForo categories, and further customise the displays via prefixes, and content tags. Optionally also create a discussion thread in a specified forum when a manual is uploaded, so users will never miss an upload.

Track Stats: If you choose to allow your members to download the PDFs, the download log tracks who downloads and how many times they have downloaded the file. Views are also tracked separately.
