What it does​

• Invite the right people. Individual members or whole user groups, each as an Editor or a Reader. Change a role or remove someone at any time; a co-author can leave a draft.
• Write at the same time without losing a word. Autosave runs a few seconds after you stop typing. If a co-author saved in the meantime, it pauses instead of overwriting, and their version stays in the history. You can see who has the draft open and who is editing right now.
• See what changed. Every save is a version. Compare any two, word by word or line by line, view an old one or restore it.
• Discuss beside the text. Comments with @mentions, editing and resolving, and an activity log of everything that happened to the draft.
• Approve before publishing. Pending drafts land in XenForo's approval queue for moderators and in an Awaiting approval list for approvers. Editing an approved draft asks for approval again.
• Publish properly. To any forum you can post in, with a prefix, tags and watch options, now or at a date in your own time zone. Attachments follow, an optional footer credits every co-author, and later changes can be pushed to the published thread.
• Native everywhere. Bookmarks, alert preferences, inline moderation, statistics, a Recent drafts widget and an Admin CP dashboard with what needs your attention.

New in 3.0.0​

Drafts 3.0 is rebuilt on XenForo's own components: the list works like a forum, the draft like a thread, the history like the native edit history, and every page follows your style in light and dark without any setting. New: autosave with conflict protection, live presence, comparison of any two versions, publication with prefix and tags, updates pushed to the published thread, the native approval queue, roles you can change, editable comments, native bookmarks and inline moderation. Fixed: attachments now follow the draft into the thread, scheduled dates use your time zone, approvers can open what they are alerted about, and a fresh install grants default permissions. Every 2.0 feature is still there.

Good to know​

Requires XenForo 2.3 and PHP 8.0 or later.
Upgrading from 2.x: install the archive over your current version from the Admin CP, after a backup. Drafts, versions, comments, co-authors and bookmarks are kept; bookmarks move to XenForo's bookmarks and pending drafts join the approval queue. The 14 Drafts style properties are removed because the pages now take their colours from your style.
