  • Hope you don't mind me asking, but what does cruxt mean? "However, the cruxt of the issue is that phrases are not guaranteed to be ok to contain HTML."

I looked it up on dictionary.com with no results, and I'm not getting anything doing a general search on Google.

It was a typo of "crux" (though actually, I thought it had a "t").

    Ah, okay.

Seeing as I never heard of "crux," I wasn't able to detect that, haha!

    Thanks, Mike!
It's 7:56 PM here, which means it's 3:56 AM there.

    Shouldn't you be sleepin'? =P

I also realize, and like I said in the thread, it's extremely trivial, but I just happen to be one of those people who are picky. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. xD

    hello
xenforo plan to buy. I have a problem. www.cgstudyo.com site belongs to me. The location is 11000 and thousands of pieces from the membership seamlessly carry, I'm not sure. What could be a solution for this issue?
I can not do this you can do that?

I don't really understand what you're proposing. Please post your question in the pre-sales forum.
    Hi, Mike.

First, I want to ask if there would be anything wrong with creating a Friday the 13th thread (although I'm not personally superstitious, haha) or if it'd fall under a similar category as the thread of mine you locked on Wednesday.

Second, I just want to comment and say that you do an amazing job providing support on the forum and such. You are highly more active than Kier and are on every day practically all day, which makes you awesome in my book. It's funny, sort of. I see a lot of older threads by Kier in Have You Seen...? and then all of a sudden it's you making them, as if you took over the job (which you probably did). =)

You can post the thread if you want - obviously it's just a matter of what happens to the discussion.

Hi, Mike. How have you been?

Hope you don't mind, but I had a quick question out of curiosity. Why are your default staff user titles "XenForo Developer" and "XenForo Moderator" and not just "Developer" and "Moderator"? I don't think I've seen many sites that have the site name in their user title -- staff and members alike.

    Again, just curious. =)
Hi Mike, are there any plans in the works for a conversion from SMF to Xenforo?

I can't speak for Mike about future plans, but currently the recommended way is to first import your SMF board into PHPBB. Once you have done that, you can then use the built in XenForo importer to import from PHPBB to XenForo. Two step imports are quite common.

Hi Chris, thanks. I read that suggestion the other day and tried PHPBB and MyBB imports and merge. PHPBB seemed to be the better of the 2 with a few minor glitches.
Both had issues with uploaded avatars but everything else seemed to switch over ok.
It just seemed to me that with so many SMF people leaving that format and showing an interest in Xenforo that there would be a specific converter for that.
Just wanted to commend your patience even as you calmly respond to questions and support this product. Whereas some would have become cranky and even talk down on folks asking for help, you address the issues dispassionately, objectively and effectively. Thank you and keep it up.
