With the way the term customers is viewed these days, a more friendly tone on the forum category description may be "You must be a XenForo License Holder..."

Food for thought, great forums :)

I work in the customer service industry and I don't find it offensive to refer to my clients as customers.

"He's currently with a customer may I take a message?"

"He's currently with a license holder may I take a message?"

Meh.

In different instances the effect would vary. No doubt your point is a great one.

client, subscription holder?

Client is also a great alternative to customer, but either way, it is just a matter of opinion I suppose. I have heard clients being offended by being referred to as just a customer. Thou these days people seem to find almost anything complain about.

Thank you for your opinions on the matter.
