We tried to set up a forum before; but there was a lack of interest. So this is a new forum, and a new service.

This site is built COMPLETELY on XenForo. No page is outside of the XenForo platform; you would be amazed at how powerful the platform really is. Even the index landing page is built in XenForo.

I will be creating some videos during the next few days showing it's unique software.

I definitely like the avenue you're taking this, Jaxel. Have you looked into reaching out to various streamers to help promote your new site?

I know it's rather early, but I also assume you'll be putting together a directory of sorts to allow users to find new streamers?

Yes, of course... the problem is, I don't really know of any streamers that would be willing to do this.

What is this exactly? So when I stream via twitch, my channel would be yokappa?
No no no... you still stream on whatever service you want to stream on...

But when you tell people of your URL, you don't tell them "twitch.tv/yourchannel". You tell them the URL to your yokappa channel. For instance, when I stream at http://twitch.tv/8wayrun, I don't tell them to go there; I tell them to go to http://8wayrun.tv/, which is a proxy of my yokappa channel.

Your yokappa channel will follow you no matter what service you are streaming on. So if I switched from twitch.tv to youtube, or hitbox.tv, my followers don't need to update their bookmarks, they will still be able to view my stream at http://8wayrun.tv/.

In addition, my 8wayrun.tv page is far more customized, and more personalized for my stream.

So if I sign up for this I can basically use my own URL too? I can then customize and style that page to my heart's content?

You can use your own URL yes, with some proxying. You can also customize it pretty well; even more if you become a premium member; we follow a freemium model.

Done!

What I've done was integrate our system into XenRio: http://yokappa.tv/streams/channels

When you setup your channel (or whenever you change your stream settings), your channel will automatically get added to the approved channel list.

Ah, that makes sense. Great idea to leverage an already created (and successful) system to further your new project.

Have you guys created social media accounts yet? I'd like to throw a shoutout or two, but it'd help to point people to a Twitter account as well as the website.

This could be helpful, I'm going to have to watch that feature video when I get a chance.

Good luck Jaxel, lots of streamers and YouTubers would love customization and creative freedom when it comes to "show" their content (including me). Hope you the best for this project (y)
