XF 2.1 Year as prefix?

I just created a node called "Individual TV Series Discussion".

I want to force users to select a year, a great idea would be using prefixes.
[2011] Game Of Thrones
[2018] Disenchantment
etc

However -> I don't want to manually create prefixes from the 60's until 2019 (and might forget to add 2020 next year)

Is there any way I can automatically do this?

Xenforo I believe has a feature that add instructions in the title bar field I think. Would not force anything but would make things clearer?

Wouldn’t using prefixes labeled by “Series” or “Season” be more appropriate? Be far less prefixes to create and manage. So something like [S1] - [S16]?

would Custom thread fields be useful here? i just noticed the feature in the backend. i have seen it mentioned before. cannot find a proper explainer for it with images and demos.

Or use custom fields, dropdown selector or text field like XF does for versions of bugs. Dropdown ensures no typos. Text box lets you not worry about future years.
