XF 2.1 xf_session_activity is full error

I've been running into this error rather frequently the last few days.

I've increased max_heap_table_size to 32M at this point and it still happened, it merely took a few days.

What is the underlying cause of this happening? I dumped the table before truncating it most recently and had over 34,000 rows. We certainly don't have traffic anywhere near that.

Update: I noticed a different issue yesterday that stemmed from a number of the forum crons no longer running anymore. They had "Next run" times of over a week ago and appeared to not have run in a while.

Toggling one of them caused all of those "orphaned" crons to run, and I haven't seen this problem since then.

Does one of those crons clean up this table? I'd like to know if that's actually the explanation here.

Yes, this table is cleaned up hourly. The crons not running would definitely be the cause.
