XF 2.0 XF2 Navigation - How to add a New Threads option (don't understand the new system)

I've done my first XF2 install this week and would like to add a navigation link to display New Threads, but when I look at the existing navigation options to try and establish the definitions of the new links I'm left with no idea what I need to write / add into the fields to achieve this.

Any help appreciated.

When you say a "new threads" link, do you have a URL to the page you're trying to link to?

If so, then note that you can just add an entry with a simple URL -- the default links use "template syntax" to ensure it works in all scenarios but that doesn't necessarily apply to specific cases.

By new threads I mean a list of threads in date created order - much like new posts.

There isn't a page dedicated to a list of threads ordered by their start date (at least at a global level -- you can re-sort individual forums).

The navigation system is really just about where to link to things -- the functionality still needs to be exposed somewhere. If there is an add-on that exposes a page like that, then you could create a navigation entry to link to that page.

Okay. Thanks. I'll have a look through the XF2 resources. I think we used an add-on in XF1 to get it.
