At this point I think maybe they're just trolling you guys...and I'm here for it!

Why does the release of 2.2.13 take so terribly long with 2.3 on the horizon? I think there's a major change comming towards the company.
That explains for me why there is still no HYS. ;)
"upcoming weeks". 😂😂😂

Jokes aside. I lost my faith and patience here. At this stage I'm thinking selling my forums, and focus on something else. I might actually try IPS.

We been waiting for some news for years. Even the communication isn't great. Also noticed that an other XF developer for some reason decided to delete all his work. Not good sign IMHO.

As a customer, I expect more communication from the business, yes we been told some speculation about "upcoming week" or "next days/weeks" which haven't happened either, and at this point I don't take XF Team seriously...

We're working away. Fixing XF 2.2.13 bugs, a major XF 2.3 feature is awaiting my review (one of the major popular ones from the first page of the Top suggestions list) and much more already in the bag.

Development takes time. Good things come to those who wait. Etc. etc.
I'll guess it's worth the wait, I'm not stepping away after almost 10 years of being a Xenforo customer.

No, there isn't.

Wonder which.... 🤔🤔🤔

I just did this recently. You can only take so much for so long. I told myself I would stick to it till the end of 2022, in just 2 months we will be halfway through the year. I got tired of lack of communication and being led on. I hope the wait is going to be worth it for those that stick it out.

I really doubt that new XF version will be able to compete with competitors. I have 3 forums, and thinking to sell them, or merge and migrate to IP. While they are more expensive, at least there are some communication and more features built-in, which don't leave us with broken addons when a developer decides to quit XF for one reason or an other.

No here to disrespect you, or any XF Staff team, but personally everything said by XF, I'm taking a bit as a joke and superficial towards customers. At least XF could run HYS and still work on XF2.3 (or whatever version), and we will know that there are some work behind the stage. But so far, we read only ''words'' behind the stage.

I understand your reasoning, but it is very disappointing that only 25% are on 8.x with 7.x already being end of life and with no active support or even security fixes.
Remember, just because PHP reaches "EOL" does not necessarily mean that a package distribution offering does the same.

Not you too…

Bunch of quitters…

Imagine if @Chris D and his crew of developers made wholesale changes and we as customers hated this.
You don't want to be too impatient with everything.
In my own opinion, i think these guys need to take their time with it so they don't accidently stuff it up.
Think of it as though you're in a job interview. Your dream job comes up and you apply for it. You need to practice answering those interview questions. Without the um's and ah's.
What we want to see might not even happen.
It's also unlikely that the ignore feature will change. It hasn't for a while.
will this alone make me move to a different software? Probably not.
So let Chris and his crew do their jobs. They'll let us know when their ready.

He said a major one, so let's guess...?

So what is left are these.
  1. Single Sign On (Connect XF with XF, WordPress, etc)
  2. Implement AMP Project framework
  3. Official XenForo Commerce Addon: Donations, Shop, Billing, Monetizing, Ads, Subs, affiliate, etc
  4. Allow nested replies in Q&A Threads

  8. Integrated Blogs
Out of these I am betting my money on social groups or custom fields.

I'd be willing to bet it's something with single sign on or something along those lines. I've been assuming filter has been planned for a while now. And since that's likely a larger ux change it's almost certainly login related. If we can trust what was mentioned.
