I’m only saying this so I can be the one who predicted it if it does happen….
2.3 is never coming because it’s actually 3.0 that they’re going to drop on us.

3 weeks after 3.0 is dropped on us, someone will ask about 3.1
Im wondering how many add-ons will get replaced. I assume anything popular they have seen posted here, like a more social-media friendly style theme, cloudflare/wordpress integrations, fontawesome loader, feeds system, things like that are likely to get added to core with exciting Apple-esque thread announcements. None of this is at the top of Popular suggestions so maybe Im wrong.

There must be something fundamentally different in 2.3 that’s causing these headaches.
Team seen quite responsive in terms of patches / security updates on minor builds.
We saw a large release gap between 1.x and 2.x when a fundamental code change occurred.

Future fix - Merged threads do not trigger an alert for watched threads
I was unable to find any report covering this doing a cursory search. When a thread is merged with a bigger thread on your watch-list, shouldn't that be flagged as new posts and trigger an alert? Especially if you have not read the thread being merged? An example would be the California Case...

I take your point , however I counter with them doing a radical change from the current editor to something else. Perhaps why the "fixed" items do not related to the froala bug as they are writing their own editor or adapting one to work?Going on 4 months since the last patch, the editor of choice is borderline unusable in many use cases

I came over from IPS back in October 2022, I was excited because I thought 2.3 was right around the corner. I think we have only had 1 update since then? I will probably wait till my subscription expires and then jump ship and move back over again if nothing new comes by then. As much as I love Xenforo it's tough watching the competition push updates regularly and introduce new features constantly. I see they just released push notification today for iOS. I can't help but feel like we are being left behind in the dust.
