It's in the slow cooker... we all know that things are better when they've been left to simmer for a bit.

I just hope it doesnt' turn out to be bone stock (any Southern cook knows what I refer to - the chicken version is great for gumbo).

Yeah.... 2 year lapses in x.Y.z releases is somewhat of an issue with developers sitting on their hands while they created the cloud offering.
At least one of their major competitors are doing regularly monthly releases (even though a lot of their new stuff is simply tripe).
Meanwhile, many of us that have been with XF for over a decade patiently await some "earth shattering" improvements.. but we realize that the developers would rather push that simple "stuff" off on 3rd party developers instead of incorporating it first party. Honestly... if it wasn't for @Bob and his add-ons... I'd probably have kicked XF to the curb by now and gone with IPS and created what I needed in their Pages app. XenForo is sorely falling behind many of the paid scripts in what they offer directly via their script(s)... and their dependence on third party to extend them will eventually bite them in the ass.

The ONLY thing I hope is they actually are taking the time to implement a new editor... if they release 2.3.x with the same crappy editor... I am going to have to REALLY wonder about them with the exceedingly LONG time between x.Y.z releases...ALL their competitors are simply pushign them into the mud.
And the sad thing is... I've been a very strong proponent of XF... but their current "trajectory" is simply "limp". Maybe they need to pursue investigation into the "blue pill" for script advancement?
