Hey all! I posted a thread about this design several months ago and have now finally almost finished it. ;) There are a few more area's to tweak and a 'new', framework feature (a dynamic, collapsible footer with Flickr integration and a newsletter subscription submission form) to add yet still, but I thought I'd go ahead and link to what there is so far and see what everyone thinks. :)

Nice style John. :)

I've noticed a little issue. when you go to hover and open the menu the tab to the right slightly jumps to the right.

edit: when you open the menu they seem to jump both right or left depending on the tab you pick.

Looks good, John. The use of the images in the navbar instead of text links is a nice touch.

The only other person I've seen doing this is forsaken which he implemented very nicely. And I agree the use of imagery is a nice touch and most importantly a space saver. Forgot to comment about the use of images and I agree with kevin that is a nice touch to the style.

Is there going to be an easy way to add images and redo navigation for tabs created by add-ons?

Just to name a few that are more popular that are used....

Strange, I don't get that on my localhost dev board...something must not have transferred properly. I'll look into it. :)

XF just uses the "extra.tabs" class for additional tabs and then pulls in the text wording for whatever that may be. In this case, there is only one image for the extra tabs. I will include a package of custom images but one will probably have to manually edit their addon nav templates to assign separate images. I may look into adding a style property setting to make this easier.

I like it.. clean, lovely nav design.. shame it's blue hehehehe :D Do it in purple John!!!!

The whole thing. The blue on there is just..meh. i hate the white background and breadcrumb. hate the node list and sidebars

I'd agree to a degree but a few little colour changes here and there would transform the blandness your speaking of, I was just curious to know what areas you found bland.

Issue john which is affecting you notices. when you expand using the toggle sidebar when having multiple notices they overlap onto the next notice. This is something we had to fix on our custom sidebar toggle which affected notices just something you may want to look into.

You must not like XF much, then. Either way, thanks for your criticism but I won't be changing any of it based on it. ;)

A bit of a brighter blue might work better. Red or Green also!
I make what I like when it comes to colors, and provide a framework feature called Infinity Colors so that it can be changed to satisfy other's preferences. Thanks for the feedback, though. :)

I wouldn't change any of it, I like this style (good work on fixing the nav areas) the smooth transition on hovers is a nice touch.

On that note, i would really like to see this style in green.
