XenScripts WordPress to XenForo Bridge [Paid] [Deleted]

I don't know why there aren't any developers that want to create a Wordpress into Xenforo bridge/sync. The market is HUGE for this. Many sites are already running off wordpress and use wishlist member or another membership plugin, but want to add a forum component to their site. This plugin would be a big seller because Wordpress users have been crying out for something like this for years. The author of this plugin is missing out on a huge market. Sad. But somebody will pick this up eventually and be richly rewarded.
Huge? At the moment no. Wordpress is free, XenForo is probably the best forum script but it's on trial. So market is ultra tiny. And as I told you in another post, I did believe at a time that a bridge between XenForo & Wordpress was the solution to have a good portal... I don't any more. Nothing to do with this thread addon which is working great for me.

Wordpress powers 1 out of every 6 sites on the Net, over 60,000,000 in total and growing. That sounds pretty huge to me.

Many of those sites would like to add a forum component to their site. But they don't want to mess with the registered user base they already have in their own wordpress site or plugins that already access their wordpress database. They just want to bridge these existing users into a forum component. They're not going to delete all their wordpress users just so they can use a forum script or start from scratch.

Vanilla forums does this integration nicely but is not as feature rich as Xenforo.

I think the Xenscripts plugin could fulfill much of this market if it could sync from Wordpress into Xenforo. Maybe the developer will reconsider. I think there's a lot of potential here.

1. Forum is full of spam
3 spam posts out of 1,360 posts.
http://xenscripts.com/community/forums/bug-reports.8/
99% of them are resolved.
3. Bug with 5.4 is known since september http://xenscripts.com/community/threads/problem-with-php-5-4.522/ and it seems that it's still not fixed:(
The php 5.4 bug has a super easy fix.

If you want to use Wordpress with Xenforo but you don't want people to have to register twice .... Xenscripts is the way to go.
If you can't get it working Jamie will do it for you.
He's been keeping customers happy since Sept 2011. He's not on the forums daily, but has never been gone for a long period of time ever.
I'm confident in recommending Jamie and the bridge and I don't say things like that lightly.

hello,

we have a user-permissions problem. if we set a user to a moderator - this user can´t go to the wp-admin section (to write articles or delete spam). we have set all permissions and all testet. our users can only login and write comments........if we change the permissions in the forum , it dont match it with our wordpress installation. we use wp 3.5.1 and the latest xenforo-version.

this problem i have reportet for over 1 year.........now i need a solution, because i want add 2 new users, to the moderatorteam.........sorry for my bad english

No updates since last April? Is development halted on this?

No. There is no need to update at this time. Many of us have unique configurations and so an update would be a pain to go through. We are all waiting - as patiently as possible - for XF to win their lawsuit so development can start again. Also, please realize that the developer is one person - and not a company. After you purchase and install, he is available to help in case something goes wrong with your configuration.

Hi guys. Does anyone know if the forums and WP can be on two separate databases to use this? or does it need to be all in the same DB?

Separate DBs. if you use common users, then user information is pulled from XF DB. Similarly for threads and posts.

MOZ, i tried installing this add-on and it didn't work, It gave me an error and wouldn't work..does this work under WP 3.5.1?

No. The fix works. Sometimes people do not following the instructions and end up in a mess but don't come back and clean up their comments.

Iph: you're right, i managed to get the fix working, however, I still had problems and made the mod unusable for me. Users aren't able to log in via wordpress part of the site and on top of that, I noticed those who were able to 'create' an account, weren't assigned to any specific role, when editing their profile 'manually' in wordpress it spat out an error "here:<usersemailaddresshere>"

So i'm pretty much giving up on this script and already asked Jamie for a refund.

I'm a little confused:

1. Login occurs through the XenForo account.
2. Editing of a profile is done through the XenForo side.
3. Are you getting a herelogin error when you have just the plugin activated and not others? Have you check incompatibility with other plugins?
