Can I show category of the blog post that it belongs to?
Category (category name and its link)

OK. I'm stopping for a bit. Here is a screenshot of the work at this point. There needs to a comma inserted between the array of categories and uncategorized shouldn't show.

I'm not sure I like the placement, either.

i don't use uncategorized on my blog thus I am sure it won't show on my blog.

what about username? have you also updated that?

from this add-on. can you duplicate it to make most viewed blog posts or most comments blog posts add-on.. .?

I wanted to have same widgets like that.

LPH updated XenLate with a new update entry:

New Options: Show Category, Show Display Name

This version is compatible with Theme House XPress.

Added two options to the widget.
(1) Show Post Categories
(2) Option to Show Display Name versus XenForo username

I had to remove the files from the previous release then run uninstall in the Admin CP. Next, these files were uploaded, reinstalled in Admin CP >> Addons, add absolute path, then setup widget definition.

Read the rest of this update entry...

Hi, I downloaded updated plugins .. the result is always the same. It depends on my installation

I found a location where other plugins are installed. This is the path

/var/www/forum.formazioneturismo.com/xf/src/addons

Do I have to change some options?

These are the steps to install:

Download the zip
Extract the zip
Upload to XenForo
Go to admin.php >> addons and Install
Go to Options >> XenLate
Set Absolute path
Go to widgets
Click +Add widget
Choose XenLate: Latest Blog Posts
Enter widget key: trn_xenlate

You must upload all the files to the proper addon location—just like every addon. Once uploaded then you should see the addon listed at the top with a blue install button. If you aren’t seeing the addon then you probably aren’t uploading the files to the location.

If you extract the zip file, it creates a folder called upload. Click on it and you’ll see src is the first folder. Match that in ftp server and upload. Then check

/src/addons/TRN/XenLate

You don’t see anything when you go to the Admin CP then click on Addon?

The icon for the addon is a pug.

You should send login details so @LPH can fix that for you faster.

Is it possible to have links to categories?
Now I only see it has category names there.

I avoided linking in this release due to paths. I can see it getting complicated quickly with different configurations and have to think it through. I matched the way XenForo does tags at the top of a thread.

the last question for this addon. Can you show number of views of blog posts?
I think it is enough and you should duplicated it for most view blog posts or most comment blog posts addon..etc.

AFAIK, the number of views isn't native to WordPress. It would require a counter. Maybe something like this:

https://www.themexpert.com/blog/track-display-post-views-in-wordpress

But does this add-on require other basic add-ons?

WordPress and XenForo are all that is required. No other requirements.
