XF 2.1 Xenforo Importer Tool: Rebuild takes long time!

I am using XF importer tool to migrate data from one XF forum to another XF forum.

We've millions of data. After migration, it starts rebuild as a part of "finalize" step, and it takes hours and hours.... can I skip it?

Thanks @Brogan, In fact, I'm going to merge all threads that are imported from source site to my existing forums on destination site. Do I still need it, if it justs doing some statistics stuff? thanks!

Can I keep site running in the background (may be commane line?), while site is live and running in frontend?
