XF 2.2 xenforo elements on non xenforo pages

Is there a way to take a xenforo element and use it on a non-xenforo html or php page? For example:
My xenforo is installed at
site.com/forum/

I have a landing page at:
site.com/page1.php

On page1.php I'd like to place two elements from xenforo
1) a xenforo login modal (user clicks a "login/signup" link and gets a modal popup)
2) a snippet of "latest posts" from the forum

Do you know of one that could easily be plugged into an html page or a php page?
(the font display I assume is an April Fool's joke but actually doesn't look half bad... )

Not for this purpose. I already have existing pages that I want to integrate. I am in the process of migrating two forums to XF and still learning.
