XenForo Community Its Been A Minute

So it's been a minute since I have used XF since Beta and I am now looking at a new project (XF seems a good fit) but I have some questions for the community as I am no longer up to date with XF Development or current status, public opinion or DM's are welcome.

1.) Has the lead developers changed
2.) Is Brogan (not sure if I remember the name) still a moderator who steals my and others code and post it as his own ? (Why I left and have negative feelings about XF + other things I felt a mod should not do to a customer.
3.) Is Shelly still doing artwork for XF
4.) How did XF resolve the issue with Florance after the mass deletion, did XF just not allow deletion or did they reach out to the developer and diplomatically make things right
4.) Does XF still use hooks for devs
5.) Why should I reconsider XF in 2024
6.) Does XF support mass email or when SHTF do XF devs still use third party email services to alert users in mass rather than implementing email best practices rather than sending all emails instantaneously
7.) Is Shawn still here... DP

Cheers for your replies and thoughts regarding the current status of XF through the optics of a Beta customer who left XF shortly after my code was re-authored by a mod with no credit.

Thanks for your time

No, we welcome all types lol. Your serious allegations and antisocial attitude gives you these kind of replies in return.

It’s actually none of my business, but you attack the community, and you’ll need to understand that we as a community help each other out.

Credit isn't hard bro, and I argue as a business platform yeah give credit for a customer giving up their time to better inform the community of what is possible with code that many users were unable to for themselves.

15 years ago, wow that's how long ago I (NOT U) supported XF with my hard earned cash to support an upcoming idea that went against the main current platform that had Kier in a hard situation.

Let me know what you have coded so I can "optimize" your efforts and not give credit
I wasn’t there in the beta days, no, I was busy writing addons for SMF in 2009, but I have a licence from just after 1.0 that I still have today, purchased 5 Oct 2010, still active until Dec 24.

As for what I coded, there’s about 100 addons for SMF you could look at. Oh, and all my code is either CC0 or MIT licensed so you don’t even have to credit me anyway.

To avoid any rumours and accusations, the account in question has been banned, not due to any of the content posted, but because it is a duplicate account, which is a breach of rule 19.

19. Each user may only have one account. If duplicate accounts are discovered, the duplicates may be banned.

The member is free to log in to their existing account to post.

@Paul B I'm interested in the mechanics of the ban. I don't see the line through the username, so did you disable the account rather than hit the ban button? Did you leave it active and just changed the password and email address to simply lock them out?

I'm not going to comment on the accusations - I honestly have no idea what it's about.

I do have an idea of who the original member is and the potential thread/resource related to said accusations, but I was unable to find any issues; they actually thanked me twice in the resource thread 🤷‍♂️

I only mentioned the banning because the member won't be able to respond further and has already posted some comments online elsewhere regarding this.
I have no doubt the usual admin gossip sites will pick it up in due course.
Edit: And there it is, as expected, from one of the usual suspects

For the record, I didn't research the posting history or anything else to try and work out who this was, the ban was purely based on the thread title and content, which made it clear it was a returning member, and therefore already had an account.
