xenForo + Cloudflare, how?

Sorry if this is not in the correct section but I'm confused about using Cloudflare with xF. It's mainly for security and not as a CDN.

I've searched and people appear to have it working, however when I've tried all my .htaccess redirects (phpBB -> xF) broke and uploads failed.

Any ideas?

CloudFlare shouldn't have an effect on your .htaccess redirects.

If you pause CloudFlare on your site, do your redirects still not work?

I don't have it set up at the moment as last time it was it killed the forum, or more likely I set something up wrong.

I'm using cloudflare for more than 2 months already.
Very happy so far!
Increase in, page speed, seo and revenue.
So far no problem.
