I think you're correct though - the version I have is for older apache and the first (newer) version you posted I should be using for Litespeed apparently. So does that mean my old syntax won't work properly?

Not sure what version of Apache your server is running...while updating my .htaccess & doing some investigating...came across this and wanted to share with you/everyone in case it helps.

I'm not a coding/Apache expert. Info in the screenshot seems to be saying for newer versions of Apache running on a server...the code in the upper part of the screenshot is more "modern"...code in the lower part of the screenshot seems to be for older Apache versions.

Unfortunately the info I got didn't mention what versions of Apache each set of code was more appropriate for (maybe the Apache experts out there know).

Just sharing in case it can be helpful to anyone.

Thanks for the tip. My server's bot said to replace my code with this .............. for current Litespeed. Which I guess is the same as your "newer" apache code.

Thanks for posting all that Alvin63. I'm not a coding expert...I probably couldn't accurately answer the "older sytax" (Older Apache vs. Litespeed) question.
