I don't use mysqli, I use the mysql libraries. I don't know if that is a requirement, but I wouldn't think so.

I tried to do a vB import of data, and got as far as the "import user groups", then got a server error importing the users. I don't see where, or if, logs are stored anywhere, at least not in the file system.

EDIT: Actually the error occurs after the choosing of how to "automatically merge users" page.

Automatically merge users:

• When email addresses are the same
• When names are the same
• Search for Gravatar when users do not have an avatar

After reading I had to pay to download patches (not upgrades) for 3.8, I decided my money wasn't going anywhere near them ever again. I'd just wait until something better came along.

I try to buy it via PayPal with a credit card but it says something about "guest access expired". So it means people without PayPal accounts or people who can not create PayPal accounts somehow, will not be able to buy this? It's really sad to see PayPal screwing this up for me.

The .htaccess file is included, in the correct position as well. (Though it will probably be moved in the next beta, as it will be something that people want to modify.)

While I can't use it yet until there is some kind of portal/basic CMS add on available from somewhere. (Brian from vBAdvanced looks to be thinking about it!) I have still purchased a copy to show my support to Kier and Mike, and ofc to switch when such things become available as means I can switch from my vb 3.8 installation.)

i made a pp account, ok, bought 1 lic, if i need 4 i have to go 4 times to paypal? weird..
