Xenforo based hosting

Anyone to know good reliable hosting for Xenforo, and one more question it is better to not enable suhosin on server.

There is no "xenForo based hosting". In theory, any host which fulfills the requirements of xenForo can run it without problems. And for the record, most hosts do.

Khaleal, I get what you're saying and agree - But there are hosts which cater to xenforo clients a lot better than other hosts do - like with Mike's free version upgrades policy.. it's good IMO to host with a smaller company that provides great service and can also help out their clients if they get in a jam because they understand and have used the software.

XenForo will work just fine with any proper hosting service provider.

In the interest of fair and equal in recommended suggestions though I will recommended CanSpace.ca (Affiliate Link: http://www.canspace.ca/clients/aff.php?aff=005) It is what we use for SociallyUncensored.eu which has over 80+ add-ons on top of the stock install

Here is my review for Canspace

Here is my review for Xfhost

And here is how I attempt to select a proper host

I personally have hosting through hawkhost, I don't have a forum with a lot of activity, just something to make add ons with.

I've never seen anybody complain about @Mike Edge and http://xfhost.net though (aside from Adam).

Thanks Daniel. Hopefully someday Adam stops this witch hunt with us and all his fake reviews both good and bad about us. He wrote a fake good review about us here http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/9603/review-xf-host Since reviews on that site are only about VPS providers, he went as far as to say we customized a VPS just for him when pointed out we were a shared hosting provider. But thank you for the kind words and yes, I know many who wish Adam would finally just move on from this vendetta.

As with any web hosting services provider, experiences do vary and so reviews do vary.

I recognize that some people have found xfhost.net to be a good services to them :), just as I also recognize that I am not the only person who's experience has not been pleasant with xfhost.net :( .

In my case, I found Canspace.ca to be a better alternative. (y) As such, my comment fairly reflects that.

But back to the original OP's questions... Any reliable hosting provider with the required requirements for XenForo (link) can easily host XenForo because it uses little to no resources. The deciding factor on which hosting provider is right for you, can only be answered by you :)

How many hosts your website was going through in the last 2 years?

Can anyone recommend a good Australian or NZ host? This is just for a small forum , all users based in Aus, and xfhost is out of our price range for now... Thanks!
try zuver.com.au. have a chat to @oman he uses it. It is owned by ventraip.com.au

and stay away from xfhost if you are based in Australia.

I recommend getting a US West Coast provider, as it will be much cheaper for both hosting and bandwidth. Then, if you really wish, use a CDN service like cd77.com for local AUS based caching. You will find it much better than paying high prices for internal AUS hosting.

We've been using xFhost with @Mike Edge and we've only had good experiences, I've dealt with quite a few hosts over the years and it's nice to have a smaller one that values customers rather that treating them like numbers.

That's my experience, and I have never found a reason to doubt Mike.

Hello everyone,

In my curiosity I just want to see the actual forums hosted in XFHost. Can you guys reply with the link of you're forums so that I can make a visit. Just want to see how many members you have and also to check the loading time.

Then you shouldn't be hosted with an American based host, which xFhost is.

Sorry but I disagree, we have several clients in Philippines and though out Asia. With today's technology peering p2p means very little as your talking maybe a few miliseconds longer, something the human eye won't even notice. Now if you were talking about game or voice servers, would agree, but not web hosting, even more so a low traffic site. That's like saying you shouldn't buy xenForo because where they are hosted so your support forums are going to be slow. people from around the world use this site without issue.

Not just usa, but the East Coast of USA.

Mike, so you are saying it makes no noticeable difference whether you host locally or half way around the world? Are you sure? Have you heard of CDN? I guess if everyone was as knowledgeable as you on this subject all the CDN companies would be bankrupt. I guess you think google doesnt care about response times either and ping times dont mean anything?

Please enlighten and humour us. Im wondering why you used cloudflare then...
