This is useful in most cases, but like most forums we offer a FREE registration option. This needs to be styled differently. i.e. muted card colors and muted button, different for each style variant.
It would also be nice if we can display fa-ban stop icons instead of fa-check for the features list. Because the Free option does not add any features. Instead it lacks it.

Click your Free account type and scroll to the bottom for individual styling. There's no light/dark options here, but it may still work for you. I do have different button colors.

Nope, your add-on still allows the purchase. I disabled the add-on and the only thing that showed on the upgrade page was the purchased upgrade, all others were hidden. But enabling your add-on shows all of them as purchasable, and they are by clicking the button, the one purchased has the expiration date where the purchase button is, but all others are still there to be purchased.

In order to fix this I would suggest to please hide just the purchase button (and unlink the price) and not hide the description of the upgrades, as, that is good to have for members to refer back to after purchasing to check the features.

Where is this managed? I see the expiration date where the purchase button is. Is that supposed to be clickable? Mine is not but maybe that's because it was a test/manual upgrade and not a real purchase?

The cancellation button will only be available if payment for the recurring upgrade has been made and the payment provider supports this feature
The add-on displays the standard payment cancellation template (hard-coded in the payment profiles)

Thanks! I have features lists with fa-ban icon for basic account type now. So it lists all the nice things basic members cannot have.

Dark and light mode are just too different in color. Basic/free option should be bland and not stand out. What is bland in light mode stands out in dark mode and vice-versa.
I will try to use the freeform less code or extra.less to create light/dark mode versions.

Style variants here would still be useful.
