@Alpha1 you can adjust them in the Style Properties for the add-on using variations.

This is useful in most cases, but like most forums we offer a FREE registration option. This needs to be styled differently. i.e. muted card colors and muted button, different for each style variant.
It would also be nice if we can display fa-ban stop icons instead of fa-check for the features list. Because the Free option does not add any features. Instead it lacks it.

Click your Free account type and scroll to the bottom for individual styling. There's no light/dark options here, but it may still work for you. I do have different button colors.

Click Advanced mode and use what you want there.

Not seeing anything different than the order of things I described.
That's strange; I haven't seen that happen during testing

Nope, your add-on still allows the purchase. I disabled the add-on and the only thing that showed on the upgrade page was the purchased upgrade, all others were hidden. But enabling your add-on shows all of them as purchasable, and they are by clicking the button, the one purchased has the expiration date where the purchase button is, but all others are still there to be purchased.

In order to fix this I would suggest to please hide just the purchase button (and unlink the price) and not hide the description of the upgrades, as, that is good to have for members to refer back to after purchasing to check the features.

Thanks!
I'll take a look into that

Where is this managed? I see the expiration date where the purchase button is. Is that supposed to be clickable? Mine is not but maybe that's because it was a test/manual upgrade and not a real purchase?
The cancellation button will only be available if payment for the recurring upgrade has been made and the payment provider supports this feature
The add-on displays the standard payment cancellation template (hard-coded in the payment profiles)

Click Advanced mode and use what you want there.

Thanks! I have features lists with fa-ban icon for basic account type now. So it lists all the nice things basic members cannot have.

Dark and light mode are just too different in color. Basic/free option should be bland and not stand out. What is bland in light mode stands out in dark mode and vice-versa.
I will try to use the freeform less code or extra.less to create light/dark mode versions.

Style variants here would still be useful.

I'm a licensed user. Just a question. Is it possible to make the subscription period fixed (eg. from 01 of june 2026 to 01 of june 2027) so that every subscription is going to expire on a fixed date and not after 1 year?

Please consider to add a function to Gift an Account Type. i.e. add a Gift link with FA icon on post and other content. When clicked let the user select an account type to be gifted. Of course with the same nice looking cards that are on the account types page. Just smaller.

I´m sure this would become a popular feature of this addon. It would allow users to gift account types to members and thereby reward members for their content and increase site income.

Are there emails that are sent to users after their user upgrade expires or is cancelled? If so, where do I modify that email?

No, this add-on is limited to allowing users to purchase upgrades before registration

It doesn't seem like this addon honors the user criteria of the user upgrades.... for example if only one user group can purchase an upgrade it still shows up on purchase page with this addon.

For testing I set it so one upgrade can only be bought by admin on the user upgrades side but it appears that the paid registration account types doesn't respect that and it shows the upgrade to everyone.

this type of upgrade filtering is disabled by default

Please consider to add donation goals.

Most often our members subscribe to a donation plan for a specific goal. For example:
  1. Monthly running server costs.
  2. New server.
  3. New community features / software functionality.
If our members can see we need donations for a specific goal, then they are much more likely to donate.

Basically the same functionality you have released here:

This is outside the scope of the Paid Registration add-on
I'll add it to Donations or as a separate add-on

Looks like a great addon. I've seen the images of how it looks, but is there an option to add information to that page - eg about what the subscription helps to cover?

Also can anyone link me an example of what their set up looks like with this addon please?

There's also the following widget locations where you could put an HTML widget:
[XB] Paid Registration: Above account types
[XB] Paid Registration: Above account types on account user upgrades page
[XB] Paid Registration: Below account types on account user upgrades page
[XB] Paid Registration: Below row
