Hello

I have XenForo forum installed in the root of my host.

I decide to install WordPress, just for be clear, i will not "connect" WP and XenForo, that you can log in on WP and then use xenforo.....etc.

I want just install WordPress in root and i have XF in root.
I know that i need create new folder and move XF forum in new "forum" folder and install WP, but how to make a new database for WordPress?

Please can someone can tell me how to install WordPress in the root, because in the root i have xenforo forum!

Thanx for any tip or suggestion and help.

Theoretically they could both be in the root, if either one of them can work without index.php because out of the box they both need that and obviously cannot share the same file. I did see somewhere that there was a way for wp to not have index.php but if it does woirk, I wouldn't rely on it surviving uopgrades.

So, I think the best soliution is to have one or the other in a folder off the root. But good luck if you can find a decent way for them both to be in the root.

Since XenForo already resides in the root then make a folder called blog and place WP in it. You can add a menu item to XenForo to link to the WP install.
