WordPress Plugin: XenForo API Consumer [Deleted]

How does this work in terms of signing in on wp ? Let's say I buy this and install it on a fresh wordpress. When my xenforo members visit the wordpress page, are they automatically logged in, or do they need to visit the wordpress login page and login there?

Also, questions I had with an old plugin that didn't work: does this work when the xenforo usernames have spaces in them? And does it work when you have characters in the usernames other than english? (greek in my case) ?
You can configure to let user auto-login in any page. Or you can require user to visit the login page. There are options for that.

Yes, it works with all kind of usernames as long as the username is accepted by WordPress (WordPress has some validation of its own).

Yep ok that's good enough for me. In terms of wordpress' limitations, I'll just try it out myself and in that case we will see what happens :)

Oh! I think I actually found something this time.

Your admin bar looks so much better (though, would <3 Dashboard link). However, while the bar is stickied on the live site (i.e., follows down the page), it stays at the top on my Android phone. Is that true for anyone else, too?

You may need to alter the theme CSS to have it not fixed in mobile browser. The look and feel of the admin bar is controlled by the theme as it is a built-in WordPress element.

I'm saying, on my phone, the default WP bar follows down the page, but not the replaced one. :)
Oh, sorry. I misunderstood that part. The replaced one uses the same style and id of the original admin bar so it should behave the same. How did you compare the two? By switching the option "replace admin bar" of the add-on?

Does it work well if I have a blog on a different domain than the forum (but on the same server)?

The single sign on seems to be working for new accounts. But for everyone who had to connect their accounts manually--myself, included--we're never signed into WordPress when visiting from the forum. Also, every time we do enter our credentials into WordPress, we asked to re-authorize the forum account connection.

There should be no difference between new accounts and existing account. Please test it again to confirm your theory. It would be helpful if you can give me two account credentials to test myself (via conversation of course).

For re-authorization, you may want to do this to make it faster.

A few of my users are having issues accessing my wordpress. Any idea what could be wrong?

Here is a post on my site (there are several like it):

So whenever I go to the home page I get taken to the associate account screen, I enter my password then it just refreshes the screen over and over no matter how many times I put in my username and password. I can't view the blog or check out the stories on the home page.

Looks like the plugin cannot create WordPress account for those XenForo users. Two possible causes:
  1. Some WordPress account with the username has already been created
  2. You disabled registration on WordPress side
If it is #2, you need to check the option for the plugin to always register regardless of the WordPress option.
If it is #1, the user may have registered for WordPress before with a different email address? You can either delete that WordPress account or edit it to use the same email address as the XenForo account.

So, it seems to be happening to everyone now, I'm not sure why. I disabled WP on my site, but deleting the WP account for my members seems to make it work (unfortunately I have a few thousand members though!)

Please start a conversation with me with your site info and a few user credentials (the ones that are experiencing difficulty).
