I know a couple of guys who run nulled versions. I have no idea if that works out well for them.

Bad.

I'm not aware of any banks who guarantee this (at least they didn't a couple of months ago when I last looked at this). It's still something I'd consider hit or miss as you depend on both your and the other bank taking care of it.

The Midland and Bank of Scotland banks do. Both state that it will reach the other account within 2 hours, at busy periods it may take longer but will be by the end of working day.

This is something Government cooked up as banks were gaining interest on others moeny for 2 days yet surprisingly they still don't get their money straight away.

Is there any possibility of changing the terminology? The terms active/inactive are confusing to some people and not really correct (although I personally understand them).

License - $___ which can be used forever, and come with 1 year of Updates & support once xf is gold.
Updates & support - $___ /year.

?
I am a complete idiot that cannot read. Sorry. This is what the announcement says and it mentions nothing about the term 'active license'. Although it would be good to mention that the license can be used forever:

  • Support and Updates
A license comes with 12 months of updates and ticket support. 12-month update and support extensions will be purchasable for $40..
  • I just noticed this part that I underlined :)
    Branding Removal
The copyright information in the lower left corner of this XenForo pages must remain visible and unedited unless a branding-removal option is purchased at an additional cost of $250. Other extras and services will be purchasable in the future.

I feel like those people who were waiting for hours in front of the Mac stores to buy new Iphones. Starting October 1, I'll be "camping out" here to be one of the first XenForo buyers. :D

In that case you must have still been in school when Midland re-branded as HSBC. :p
I'm 27, that doesn't mean I didn't go to a Midland bank, I have a TARDIS remember.

Seriously though I remember Midland well. It changed it's name to HSBC in 1999, the year I left school. In fact I did get my first account there as Midland.

I have to admit it's nice to see people who know what I mean when I say Midland, I hardly ever say HSBC and usually I get greated with huh? when I say Midland.

Initial reaction talking to a few people.

1. $140, some shock as it's a new product and that pretty much is close to purchasing an IPS licence.

2. $100, early adaptation price ... some good reaction there ... must push at a couple of sites you have 24 hours to make a decision, it's the equiv of a meal at a half decent seafood place.

3. Explanation of TCO, blows vB out of the water, and for sure would work out cheaper in the long run than an IPS licence. Not a lot of people take this into account I find, $40 a year very very competitive.

Overall think I might be able to convince a few people on this one.
