This addon ok to use? I have a member who has gone through and deleted a bunch of attached photos because he wants not to share the location. It's a very good point and worth considering.

It is absolutely okay to use it. Protects the privacy of your users.

But -as said- it currently does not remove location data from existing (already uploaded) attachments.

If exif geo location data is embedded in the image it will be removed when uploading to your server.

XenForo 2.3 does remove geo location data by default when handling uploaded images, so no add-on is necessary for that.
