XF 1.2 Why Isn't Recent Posts First Instead of New Posts?

Can't I just change the link to Recent Posts? http://xenforo.com/community/find-new/3752388/posts

Is there anything wrong with that? and if not, how come New Posts is shown first instead of Recent Posts?

Huh? New Posts is usually more beneficial to registered users as it keeps track of read and unread status, recent posts doesn't (see my last post). You can surely change it on your site, it just won't happen here.

Why not also move the "Recent Posts" into the SubNavBar" when logged-in ?

You should be able to pull in the correct link from the new posts template.

If there are actually no new posts, that link won't work at all? What's the cut off date?
