Does the word have any meaning? Why did the development team choose to go with this name?

It would be easy to miss with the amount of topics created in such a small space. Don't feel bad... I think the forum is a little overwhelmed as well ;)

Thanks DSF, So is that the Xen which they mean (virtual-machine monitor)? or they mean something else? I just can't get the full meaning in XenForo that XF team intended to have it in the name of this forum.

No, it's a variant of the prefix 'xeno' which is derived from the Greek word 'xenos'.

And what does the prefix 'xeno' or 'xenos' mean?
Does it mean: foreign, stranger as it stated HERE?
If so, then the meaning of XenForo is something like: "Unique Forum", "Out Standing Forum" Or "Alien Forum :D", right?

I sort of assumed "xen" was a stylized/invented variant of "zen". But I really have nothing to base that on.
