Why are so many people buying second hand VB licenses?!

I am currently in the process of selling my old VB license via extralicense, and couldn't help but notice the huge demand there is for second hand VB licenses.

What do these buyers know that I don't?

Can still download vB 3.x which is still the #1 runner up to xF and easy to import xF later if you can't afford a license yet.
