XF 1.5 Where to put the files?

Hello,

It's been a while since i updated the software and i want to move the server to another location so it must be updated.
The new server uses PHP 7.2 so i first want to update from 1.5.1 to 1.5.24.
When i read all the instructions i know i have to copy the files to my FTP in the root, but here it is a bit different.
My list looks like the screenshot i made and attached to the post.
Do i put the files in the root or in the public_html folder where all the Xenforo files are stored? I think i put it in the public_html folder.

I can't seem to find any related posts about this.

"The root" doesn't mean the root on your server.

It means the folder where the forum is installed. In most cases, including yours,this is public_html.

While you're upgrading, uninstall Tapatalk and then you can delete the mobiquo folder.

I thought that was the right place, but since it was ages ago that is did a update i was not sure.

Thank you for your help and i will uninstall Tapa.

You should aim to upgrade to XF 2.x. because XF1.X is no longer supported. It will also no longer receive security updates.

Yes, that should be done. The forum is copied to a other server now en runs on Xampp. I think i will updated the software to 2.x this weekend and run a test. If all goes well i will move the forum to the new server and update the live software.
