Whats your moderator per registered user ratio on average?

Just wondering what your moderator QTY is per your user QTY.

I have 40,000 users on one site (I spend quite a bit of time clearing out unused accounts)
And 15 moderators, and myself as admin.

On another 60,000 members
6 moderators
3 admins inc myself

Got a few others too but that generally gives you the gist.

I don't think moderators to members is a good ratio to measure anything.
Moderators to maximum concurrent users (ie online moderators to online members)
Or perhaps more accurate: moderators to maximum posts per hour/day?

Your moderators moderate the content more so than the users so it's more important to have moderators to cover the speed of posting.

You could have 20,000 members but if you're only getting a post rate of 10 posts per hour you're not gonna need more than one moderator online at any one time.

Don't join in then pal.

It's just another thread in the grand scheme of things. :)

I don't usually have a lot of moderators. I personally have a hard time trusting people so I find it difficult to find good moderators. Though I usually do about 1 mod per 200 members. That's just my personal preference though.

I have four moderators 4000 members.

The problem is dodgy posts are bit like buses, you wait for ages then suddenly 5 come at once.
