What's in the database?

I'm just getting started with XenForo. I've set up a blank database and have backed it up as recommended, for use in maintaining an empty place to import my old vBulletin database into when the time comes. But I'm wondering: Are stylistic changes that I make to my forum -- colors, logos, etc. -- stored in the database, or elsewhere?

My concern is that I don't want to make a million little changes to the look of the forum, re-import the original blank database, and find all of those changes gone.

Yes style changes are stored in the database. But you can export / import styles through the Admin CP, so they are transferable between installations.

Take regular backups as you work on the style.

Then take a final backup once your style is finished and use that for re-importing when testing.

    That makes perfect sense. Thanks!
