Add-on [AD Credits] What would you like to see in a credits add-on?

So I think we should like someone suggested build an option to interchange with the points system. Im not quite sure how but it might make it so people who have their points all setup will be ready to use the plugin faster maybe. Integrate better.

That wouldn't be hard to do, currently the only way points are given is from trophies that each have a certain 'point' value assigned to them, so we could definately have the credits system get it's initial credits value from that without much of a problem.

i liked the old vb2 hack that allowed people to buy avatars and usertitles for other members
p2w credits would be a fine option for some of the larger boards.

It won't overwrite it per se, however you can hide trophy points throughout xenforo from view, and assign the number of credits to give for each trophy

I also had an idea for having a 'reset credits' feature in the admin panel (that would only allow administrators with a specific permission of course, and probably require you to re-enter your password just to make sure there are no accidents) where you can reset either everyone's credits, or a specific user's credits either to zero, or calculate how many they should have based on the number of posts/threads/trophies they have. This could be useful especially when you initially configure the point values for everything, or if you just want to give everyone a fresh start.

But you know, Post Ratings made something cool, merge likes and each new "like" rates created with this addon, I'm sure it's something doable to overwrite points with credits (I would say to implement credits within points), maybe not now but in the future. It would allows us to use other addons so as CTA Criteria and the waindigo ones about trophies and some other addons adding criteria for trophies because it would increment the number of points (credits) aswell

Just a few more screenshots of the progress so far. Trophies can now give credits, and have a global option along with an 'override' for each trophy!

Also, moved the credits settings to their own tab on trophies and nodes

Another update. You can now send other users credits.

The 'View Transfers' Will be moved to a 'credits' controller in the near future, right now it is on the accounts controller for development purposes.

What exactly do you mean? There is currently no 'monetary' value to the credits currently. If you're just wondering if it will support decimals (so you can have 100.40 credits, for example) then at the moment, it does not support that. But we can change the fields to be floats if that is something people would like to have.

Personally I'd prefer a fixed point (exact value) decimal ie (15,2) vs a floating point (approximate) Float or Double, but that's your call. Im just asking as two of my addons (Stock Trader and Sportsbook) deal with monetary (currency) values and I need to let license holders know whether they can use this with them or not. It's extremely vital for Stock Trader, not so vital for Sportsbook. I've already had a few inboxes asking about it

Consider it done (with options for changing the decimal point/thousands separator ). it's currently using a fixed value of 13,2. Which seems to be capping out at 99,999,997,952.00.
I don't too many people getting 100 Billion credits, though it could be possible I suppose

With @xfrocks free BD Bank & @******* credits both free and premium, I don't really see this as important.. I much rather see the efforts go into a shop that members can do stuff with. With that said.. I will pay $75.00 for a shop that offers purchase of account creation to cPanel with multi server support and monthly point billing.

Personally, i'm not sure about that. BD Bank seems to like an abandoned addon, too limited for my needs. Credits Premium is good but personally ******* have TOO much addons, the support often very slow and the suggestions of customers are very rarely considered.

Another problem with ******* addon: if you want to have Credits + Shop "modules" you are likely go to spend MUCH MUCH money. On vBulletin a fully featured Shop (like this) addon cost $54.95 for 1 year license.
If you want something similar on Xenforo, you need to buy at least 4/5 shop "modules" by ******* (see here): at least $120 dollars, plus the branding free for every single addon if you don't want external links...

I appreciate ******* work on Xenforo but i didn't like this idea to have many "modules" for Credits/Shop. I prefer to have to pay to *one* fully featured addon.

Currently i invested much on ******* addons (lifetime professional license etc.), but if in the future he doesn't "speed up" the new features i will be happy to swith to your addon, if you will provide a Credits Premium importer.

My suggestion for you is to take ispiration from VBCredits, because is the results of a years of experience and suggestion by the users.

Salary feature: i will like to give to my moderators automatically X credits every month for their work.
Integration with Trophies: X credits gained for every trophy, and Y credits if you gain a specific Trophy.
Bank feature with interest: possibility for users to put their credits on a virtual bank and to receive interest for that.

The shop is definately going to be the main focus of development as soon as we get the core credits system ironed out. I plan to make it very easy to add new item types to the shop to infinitely expand the possibilities on what can be bought. The purchase of account creation to cpanel probably won't be included in the add-on because I don't see very many people using it, but we can definately work with you to get you this feature (and possibly release it for other people to use).

I do plan to make the shop a separate Add-on, however I believe it will be included when you purchase the credits add-on. You would have to get with @Mike Creuzer to be sure though.

Buying credits via paypal is already planned, as is buying certain permissions with credits. Currently the only interface with paypal that we have planned is buying credits, I don't think we will make it so users can directly buy items from the shop with paypal.
