XF 1.3 what is the Bypass User privacy Permission?

i am getting a bit confused between the bypass user privacy permission and View conversations by anyone

i thought they where the same or a duplicate...

so i am a bit confused here...

"View conversations by anyone" is not a standard permission. The "bypass user privacy" permission allows moderators to see some things about a user regardless of that user's privacy settings (such as viewing their profile, seeing when they're online even if invisible, etc).
