XF 2.3 what happens when my license expires?

i am running into some serious financial hardship, and i just cannot afford the license renew at this time (exp: Aug 12th). what can i do?
i know if i can't pay the renewal fee, i no longer get updates, and the price goes up to full price again, but will my forum stop working?

Self hosted licenses don't expire.

You can continue to use it - your site will function as normal.

You won't have access to upgrades or ticket support, but you can post here for community based assistance.

ok, but will i have to pay the full price to regain updates, or will it still be reduced? $400 is a lot of money right now, but so is $100.

The renewal price is the same, regardless whether the license is active or not.
