What do you use as your home page? A forum, wordpress, or etc...? Do you think what you use affects seo?

I use a simple Home page which describes the forum. The image is updated every 10 minutes selecting an attachment randomly from my Pictures forum.

I think having a simple home page is ideal for SEO as it picks up the forum description perfectly.
