One of my primary reasons for moving to XenForo (from vB 3.8) was performance and stability, both server-side and client-side. It's a joy to click around between pages because everything renders so quickly, and I've found the software to be very stable under heavy load from "flash crowd" events on my site.
Speed is one of those things that most people might not consider unless there is a problem, but it's a foundation of good web software, and I really want to thank @Kier and @Mike for keeping performance a top priority.
