In my personal opinion there have been VERY few groups that can compete with them... even unto this day. Some of the few is The Eagles, Journey and possibly Kansas, but for pure vocals, even they can't compete with Freddie.
Don't like his "lifestyle"... you can simply (and this will piss some off) go on about your limited life. The music is MORE important than whether you are offended by the artists lifestyle.
