Actually they do, it's there, it's just so hard to find now. Charlie Rich got airplay on mainstream radio which made him popular with mainstream audiences. That level of exposure for talented musicians is long gone in favor of risk free, largely manufactured, flavor of the dayEarly 70's flashback. Don't care what folks say, they don't do music like this any more.
Agreed. A lot of my recent musical discoveries have been through YouTube or recommendations on forums. And most of them are Indies or on contract with smaller labels. Bandcamp is supposed to be another good place to find them, but I actually don't go on there much.The good stuff produced by young musicians is still there but you have to dig really deep to find it unfortunately.
