What are you doing this weekend ?

I'm renting a Dingo .. putting a cedar hedge in .. and making a deck (if I have time). The cedars weigh between 400-800 lbs - average size = 600 lbs. Nice eh !
I survived :)

No more Kingdom of Amular games :(

It's a shame that even after selling 1.2 million copies they had to close down shop because they didn't break even. It's even more of a shame that some of the peeps involved like Todd McFarlane didn't try to buy em.
No kidding. It was a very well done game with a lot of unique aspects to it, which is what I look for.

Here's one you might like if you're into combat systems: Dragon's Dogma. Open world type, great combat system. Apparently, the only thing that kept it from being a top-notch game is the story.

Last week, there was a rumor that Skyrim 1.6 would add horseback combat. Turns out the rumor is true.

I can't believe they borrowed that much money. I think $75 million was way too much to develop a game like that. I wish I could get a break down on the costs it took for them to make that game. I've read about Dragon's Dogma. Seems really cool. In the IGN review they mentioned that you can't go out at night. Have you played it yet?

Started. Very different. Definitely a Japanese game. Kind of like merging Skyrim with FF XIII. Awesome combat mechanics though.

What is really cool is you create your own follower and can hire two more. You hire followers that other people have created. You pay/get paid in "Rift Crystals", a currency used only for hiring followers. As your follower is used by other players, it gains knowledge. So if your follower does a quest with another player on the internet, when you get to that quest, it already knows what to do and can tell you. When you release followers, they get gifts, which goes back to the person who created them.

Its worth playing just for some of the really unique features.

That sounds pretty cool. I'm gonna check X-Box Live to see if they have a demo of Dragon's Dogma. I've been reading up more on Kingdoms of Amalar and have learned that the creator of that game studio is a famous major league baseball player. I've heard of his name before and I don't even watch baseball. Dude has really had an interesting life and career. I think it's cool that he was going to run for Senate. We need more gamers in Congress. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curt_Schilling

As far as this weekend...

I will be finishing stage 3 of my new cnc laser cutter system which includes a mount that allows me to remove the laser and substitute for other tooling to mill or abrade pending work piece application....assuming that goes without a hitch, I will go on to finalizing the design for stage 4 and 5 of my build which needs step three finalized to find my 0 point in order to make usable prints to be able to follow.

At any rate if I fail or finish that up early enough I will be going to the card room at the casino to go take money from people that play like they don't want it anyways.
