As this community profits so much from the great moderators, what are the main tasks? I am writing an article about it and I'd just like to know your feedback. The very famous lead moderator from another forum software is now more active here so I think this forum is the right place to ask 
Here I start:
Moderate
1. Content
Categorize topics. Move topics in the right forums
Categorize posts. Move posts from one topic into the more fitting one. Move posts into a new thread
2. Users
Communicate with users who go against forum culture (forum rules). If all fails, ask users to not interact in the forum any more.
Create
1. topics. Influence where the discussions go. Create activity within the community
2. answers. (posts). Answer questions you can answer
- create an community where users feel comfortable.
Delegate
point content to the people who can answer them.
Market
If your community is selling products, market this with all available tools mentioned above.
