XF 2.0 Welcome message: html?

I want to include some html in the welcome private message I send to new users.
However if I put <a href="https://interfans.org/forum/forums/presentati/">Presentati</a> the html does not work.

Please help

It's in Admin Options (User Registraion I think) or do an admin serach for the word "welcome"

Yes I have done this. Still no message is sent to the new user that registers.

I don't suppose any of you figured out how to get links working in the welcome DM, did you? It doesn't seem to accept href's or bbcode. Thanks.

Thanks, but it's not possible to paste links in the welcome DM message. Also, <a href>'s display as raw text and bbCode links are stripped out of the message once it's sent.

The editor area to enter a welcome DM is just a <textarea>, so pasting in links has no effect. It's plaintext only.

URLs are parsed correctly in DMs sent via the ACP.

Just enter the URL as normal.

Thanks, but we’re trying to add links to specific parts of the welcome text, not just raw URL’s.
