    Hello Everyone!

My name is Matt and I am a Senior Director for a very popular gaming company called TGN (http://www.youtube.com/tgn or http://www.tgn.tv). Recently we purchased xenForo for our official forums and it should receive quite a bit of users who wish to upload their own videos for review and to try to get a spot at director status.

I was wondering if it's possible to set a limit to only allow users to embed videos per a certain forum once a week. I'm not sure if this can be done, but figured this would be a good place to ask and how I would do it. I know vBulletin is able to do this, and was hoping we could also get this done for our forums as well.

We're anticipating over 10k subscribers to the forum, and could REALLY use this feature to avoid over spamming of videos.

Thank you and we really look forward to using XenForo. :)

Welcome aboard, always fun to see new large projects come to XenForo :)

As for the question it's not possible with the stock install that I know of, you may have to find someone to code a plugin for you guys.

You can do so here: http://xenforo.com/community/forums/add-on-requests.35/

Actually, if anyone knows of a plugin where you could restrict making a NEW thread within a certain node within a given time limit, that would work awesome for us. Allow someone only to post ONE thread on a given forum once per week would be an AWESOME addition for us YouTube companies. :)

The way we would love to have is to head hunt for future YouTube directors. We want our users to be able to post ONE video up (thread) of theirs per category (commentary, vlog etc) once per week. If we like said video, we'll hire them on as a director. But we don't want an individual submitting 30 videos/threads in a day in hopes to being hired. So in all honesty, all we would need is something to restrict a thread creation based on a time limit of ONE week.

Anyone up for the challenge? If you help us out, we can definitely give you some advertisement on our 40k+ users, 180k+ views per day network. (http://www.youtube.com/tgn or http://www.tgn.tv)

Can someone please code this up for us? I'm sure it wouldn't take a very long time, and we would totally give you guys some credit. Thank you.
