vbulletin has archive links. i.e. old mobile friendly browsing. These have this format:
/archive/index.php/t-31493.html

The vbulletin redirection script should redirect it in the same way that showthread.php?t=31493 is redirected.
But it fails.

use htaccess to redirect archive to showthread or forumdisplay, and then let the xf tool handle the new ids.

• When you open an archive URL, what exactly do you get: a 404 from the web server, a XenForo 'requested page not found' page, a XenForo page that isn't the thread, or no redirect at all?
• Which web server do you use (Apache, nginx, LiteSpeed)? If nginx, please share the location blocks that handle PHP and the XenForo/redirect directory.
• Where was vBulletin installed relative to XenForo (same folder, or a different path), and did you place the redirect script's index.php and htaccess in the old vBulletin location?
• Does an 'archive' directory or archive/index.php from the old vBulletin install still exist on the server?
