Currently I am just "fooling" with XENFORO trying to learn it more so I can make a decision if I move from vBulletin or not.

I am looking for a way to import from my vBulletin 4.2.0 without taking my vBulletin 4.2.0 site offline. Is there any way to do a vBulletin import using a SQL Dump file?

Again I dont want to take my forum down just so I can fool around.

Yes, just replicate the DB and use the copy.
You may also want to duplicate the avatar and file directories too, if you want to completely isolate the process from your existing forum.

A lot of people use localhost for testing or a duplicate of their forum on their live server.
