XF 2.0 vBSEO URL to Xenforo URL redirect

Hi

I'm planning to switch over 2 forums from vBulletin with vBSEO to Xenforo. Now my problem is that i have custom URL rewrite. Could anybody help me with the .htaccess redirects?

At the moment it looks like this:

Forum1:

https://www.domain.com/server-change-t43246.html

and should go to

https://www.domain.com/threads/server-change.43246/

same with Forum2:

https://www.domain.com/forum/t/14618-art-of-art

should 301 to

https://www.domain.com/forum/threads/art-of-art.14618/

There is no direct method to import vBSEO URLs to XenForo URLs that I'm aware of.

That being said, you can still make it work if you use DragonByte SEO as a medium. Here's the steps, you can do all of this on the day of the migration:

1. Install DragonByte SEO
2. Import from vBSEO
3. Confirm that URLs still work as intended and still look the same
4. Use this free script: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/dbtech-dragonbyte-seo-urls-to-xenforo-2.6361/ which is an extension of this: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xenforo-redirects-for-vbulletin.6123/ (also free)
5. Profit! (hopefully)

There's a FAQ for the redirector here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/dbtech-dragonbyte-seo-urls-to-xenforo-2.6361/field?field=faq which highlights some URLs that may not port over correctly (member and forum URLs are at risk, if you use them without user IDs and forum IDs).

Now unfortunately the vBSEO importer is exclusive to the Pro version of DragonByte SEO, but I would be more than happy to give you a license for free given that you're going to be moving away from vBulletin anyway
