Using Xenforo as a Photo Sharing Site?

Does anyone use Xenforo as a photo sharing site where people can upload photos and comment on them? Any examples?
On ZooChat, we have a large collection of photos (nearly 650,000) from zoos around the world - currently still running on XF 1.5, but I hope to upgrade to XF 2.x by the end of the year once I've finished migrating my custom addons.

I am looking at making some fairly major changes to the way we display and manage images - I'd like each photo to have its own dedicated discussion thread, kind of like how resources do - because we do often get very lengthy discussions about an individual photo. But that's a longer term project.

Thanks for sharing your site! Looks great!

I just did this for a client a few weeks ago that wanted associated threads for each media item instead of using comments. So simple to knock out a Thread Type and Forum Type just like XFRM. Works great and they love it :)

Are they still using XFMG to store the media - or is it completely independent?

I'll still need the bulk-upload capabilities of XFMG because users typically upload images in batches of 50-100 photos at a time - each time they visit a zoo.

XFMG :) I implemented a Forum Type and Thread Type (same as XFRM and dozens of addons of mine) for the purpose of having associated discussion threads for Media Items. Of course, there is a bit more than just implementing Forum and Thread types, but the point is, what you want to do is easily doable in XFMG (just as it is in XFRM). You will have no problem knocking it out :)
